I am currently a Visiting Lecturer of Rhetoric at the University of Maryland Department of Communication. While I finish my dissertation I am a Ph.D. Candidate (ABD) at the University of Minnesota, Department of Communication Studies. I received my Masters degree from the University of Georgia in 2007 and my B.A. from Luther College in 2005. Click here for my current Curriculum Vitae.

My research interests are varied, but include rhetorical theory, continental philosophy, film & television, and queer & feminist criticism. My dissertation looks at how different queer political ideologies can be differentiated on the basis of how they organize and deploy temporalities. Check out my current projects page for a selection of drafts from my current reasearch.

I have also included a selection of teaching activities that I have developed (for public speaking and argumentation classes). It includes a sample lecture I gave on Buddhist Argumentation.

I recently launched the Queer Rhetoric Project, an archive of gay and lesbian speech. Check it out and subscribe to the blog to keep up on new additions or become a fan on Facebook.
